A TRIBUTE to NAIDOC week featuring the work of local artists Chenaya Bancroft-Davis and Charmaine Davis is drawing a lot of interest at Riverlink Shopping Centre.
Charmaine, a Goori woman, has lived in Ipswich for more than 30 years and together with her daughter were asked to provide a drawing spelling NAIDOC for residents to colour-in during the weeklong celebrations.
They visited the installation on the weekend and were thrilled with how the artwork partnership with the community was progressing.
The artwork reflects the Bremer River (Urarra) and the many gumtrees on its banks.
Shoppers can still add their touches to the NAIDOC sign at Riverlink right through to this Sunday, artwork supplies are provided.
Chenaya will also have some of her artwork on display at SPARK this year which starts on July 6.
