KEEPING the kids entertained through the school holidays is always a concern, but thanks to local shopping centres, the council and district clubs there are plenty of things to do.
Riverlink Shopping Centre is even handing out $15,000 in instant prizes for the kids who go along and play the fun games they have created.
The Onion Rings Toss sees kids, and some adults, tossing giant onion rings at huge ketchup and mustard bottles.
It’s not hard to get one of the three onion rings you are handed around one of the bottles to score an instant food prize at one of Riverlink’s food outlets.
The competition is on every Saturday and Sunday through the holidays between 10 and 2pm.
Other school holiday events include Brothers School Holiday Fun Fest and Wildlife Adventures at the Railway Workshops Museum.
