IPSWICH Little Theatre has another outstanding production coming up to keep local theatre goers entertained.
From September 7 to 23 ILT will be presenting the production ’12 Angry Jurors’ based on the Emmy Award winning movie by Reginald Rose, the play has been adapted for the stage by Sherman L. Sergel.
The storyline takes you to a hot New York jury room where 12 jurors are deliberating in a capital murder case of an 18-year-old African American boy, accused of the stabbing death of his father.
If a guilty verdict is reached, it will be an automatic death sentence.
The case appears to be open-and-shut to eleven of the jurors.
However, juror number 8 casts a ‘not guilty’ vote.
Through heated and raw discussions, the jurors will be forced to see past their personal ideologies and biases.
ILT will be presenting this performance in the Round at the Incinerator Theatre.
Local actor and director Aaron Evans will be taking us on a thought-provoking journey in an absorbing look at whether prejudice will always obscure the truth.
Directed by Aaron Evans with Assistant Director, Dave Dunkerley and a cast of amazing local talented actors is not a show to be missed.
