The annual Great Marburg Bake Off was on last weekend and was well supported by bakers and cake lovers.
This is only the second year this event has been held and bakers are already looking forward to next year’s Bake Off.
The Marburg community is showing other communities how to come together and work together to ensure events like can be successful.
This year coordinator Erin Davis added an art competition to the Bake Off, “Let them Art cake”.
Local artist Jodie Bowen was the guest artist and the exhibition was curated by Rebecca Lewis.
Artists were asked to create artworks with the theme of baking. The result was a display of diverse and beautiful artworks.
The art competition was judged by artist Annie Herron. Annie said it was a hard task due to the diverse and amazing works presented.
However, a decision had to be made and Annie choose Lynette Oliver for first place in open section and Daisy Davis for Primary section.
