THE serious games have finished for the year in the Ipswich Vigoro competition but that does not mean that you cannot see some more action before Christmas.
This Saturday sees the Annual Pink Stumps Day which is celebrating a decade of raising money for Cancer research.
Originally this day was a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation but it now supports not only breast cancer but ovarian cancer as well.
This year all proceeds will go to local charity Lisa’s Lunches, an organisation that prepares lunch packs to support families going through a cancer journey.
Association President Deanne Lawrie said Vigaro wanted to be more inclusive of all members of the local community who are dealing with cancer and that is why they decided to support the Ipswich based Lisa’s Lunches this year
“This Organisation is close at heart to all Vigoro players as one of their members recently had to use this charity to help support herself and family when they most needed it,” she said.
The games will be played at the Vigaro field in East Ipswich.
Dress up in pink and go along and join a team.
