LOCKYER Valley Foods has taken a major step towards the development of its proposed $400m Fruit and Vegetable Processing Facility.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council has just informed them its approved their Operational Works Application.

It gives them the approval to start earthworks which will involve moving and realigning 300,000 tonnes of soil on their 58ha site in Withcott.

The company’s strategic location in the fertile Lockyer Valley region positions them to harness an abundance of high-quality fruits and vegetables grown locally.

The project aims to redefine food processing in Australia according to their CEO, Colin Dorber.

“The approval from the council moves us another step closer to our vision,” he said.

“This facility will set new standards in food processing.

“Once completed it will feature world-class technology and processes designed to maximise efficiency, minimise waste, and ensure the highest quality Australian products.”
