LOCKYER Waters resident, William, was the first patient to be seen by Rheumatology Consultant Dr Sajitha Nair in the Ripley Satellite Hospital Specialist Outpatient Department last week.

Rheumatology Staff Specialists, Dr David Careless and Dr Kevin Su, attended the facility to welcome William and celebrate the expansion of their services to benefit the West Moreton community.

Rheumatologists are medical professionals who specialise in diagnosing, treating and managing conditions that involve joints, muscles and bones.

William said the facility was lovely and the service he received was wonderful.

Over the coming weeks and months, specialist outpatient services, such as paediatrics, antenatal, diabetes and palliative care, will be gradually commissioned at the new Ripley Satellite Hospital.

Ipswich Hospital Specialist and Outpatient Dept teams can advise if you will be seen at Ripley Specialist Outpatient Department in the future.
