Brisbane Heat stars Usman Khawaja and Michael Neser visited RAAF Base Amberley recently. It turns out that both cricketers are also qualified pilots, although they don’t usually take on fast jets!

But the visit, which was hosted by No. 82 Wing, included the opportunity to fly the Raytheon fast jet flight simulator.

The visit concluded with a meet and greet with aviators from No.s 1 and 6 squadrons and a walk around and information session on a F/A-18F Super Hornet and E/A-18G Growler aircraft.

Pictured is Michael Neser taking a turn on the FA-18F Super Hornet Simulator under the guidance of Flight Lieutenant Herny.
