WITH one round remaining in the regular season, the Ipswich Musketeers are in a strong position to finish at the top of the Greater Brisbane Baseball League Division 3 standings.

Sitting at the summit with an impressive 11 wins from 13 games and a win percentage of 84.62 per cent, they’ve been in excellent form, winning their past five matches, including a 4-2 victory over the Redlands Rays.

Their final regular season match sees them host the second-placed Mudgeeraba Redsox.

Set for Sunday, March 2 at 11am at Musketeers Diamond 1, the match could be decisive in determining their playoff positioning, especially in terms of differential.

The Musketeers will be looking to maintain their momentum to secure a strong finish and head into the playoffs with confidence.

In second place, Mudgeeraba Redsox have 10 wins from 13 games and will be looking to close the gap, while the third-placed Wests Bulldogs have struggled recently, winning just one of their past five matches.

Further down the ladder, the Southern Stars, Redlands Rays, and Toowoomba Rangers are still in contention but need consistency to push up the standings.

Indians Apache and Beenleigh Hawks, sitting at the bottom of the table, face tough challenges as they aim to avoid a difficult finish to the season.

As the regular season draws to a close, the Musketeers will be looking to continue their strong form and secure the top spot heading into the playoffs.
