The Ipswich Jets have strengthened their squad for the 2025 Hostplus Cup season with key Gold Coast Titans inclusions ahead of round one on March 8.
Jaylan De Groot returns after a breakout 2024 season, where he made his NRL debut and recorded the second-fastest speed in the Telstra Premiership (37.2km/h).
New faces Allan Fitzgibbon and Josh Patston, both training full-time with the Titans, will also add depth.
The Titans themselves have plenty of attacking firepower this season, with the NRL’s reigning top try scorer Alofiana Khan-Pereira (24 tries) and powerhouse second-rower David Fifita, who notched 12 tries and 30 offloads last season.
Hard-hitting forward Beau Fermor brings leadership, while Harley Smith-Shields returns after impressing in four games with the Jets last year.
The Fa’asuamaleaui brothers, Iszac and Tino, add muscle to the pack, with Tino leading the Titans from the front.
Ipswich junior Josiah Pahulu returns, ready to make an impact in the forward pack. Winger Ken Maumalo, who broke 44 tackles and scored five tries in 2024, also re-joins the squad.
Moeaki Fotuaika adds consistency, tallying over 1000m and 300 tackles for the Titans, while Phillip Sami offers pace and agility, scoring 12 tries and running 1200m.
A major signing for the Titans this season is veteran prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard, who joins with vast experience from Penrith and Parramatta, where he tallied 10 tries and over 900 post-contact metres last year.
The Jets kick off their 2025 season at North Ipswich Reserve against the Townsville Blackhawks.
With a mix of emerging stars and seasoned NRL players, Ipswich is set for an exciting campaign.
