JACQUI and Robert Hill have found their perfect retirement lifestyle at Aveo’s Springfield Vista Retirement Living community after moving from their acreage in Goomeri, 250km away.

The couple made the decision to relocate late last year to be closer to medical facilities and enjoy an enhanced, low-maintenance lifestyle. But the biggest drawcard was being near their children and grandchildren.

“We regularly visited our adult children and grandchildren who live in Springfield and South Ripley, so we knew the area well and what it could offer us,’’ Ms Hill said. Now, with family close by, they are making up for lost time.

“We’ve been able to see more of our grandchildren in the past three months than we did in the last three years,’’ Mr Hill said.

“If we weren’t living here, in the past few weeks we wouldn’t have been able to attend our young granddaughter’s birthday, our niece’s 18th and spend time with our newest grandchild.’’

Aveo’s Springfield Vista, located in the heart of Greater Springfield, offers retirees modern, low-maintenance living with access to quality facilities, parks, and essential services.

Beyond family time, the couple are embracing an active and social lifestyle. Mr Hill enjoys the gym, pool, and walks through Robelle Domaine parklands, while Ms Hill volunteers several times a week.

“We knew the time was right to move closer to medical facilities and family. Everything we need is here. Doctors, a hospital and Orion shopping centre are all within walking distance,’’ she said.

Their new “lock up and leave” lifestyle also makes travel easier.

“It’s good to know our home will be safe while we’re away. We couldn’t get away easily when we lived on acreage as the lawns would be three feet tall on our return,’’ Mr Hill said.

With an indoor heated pool, gym, library, community centre, games room and more, Springfield Vista offers a vibrant lifestyle for retirees.

A Family Fun Day will be held onsite on Saturday, April 5, from 10am to midday, featuring food, entertainment, and community tours.

RSVPs are essential at springfieldvista.com.au.

Springfield Vista, located at 2 Symphony Way, Springfield Central, offers apartments from $225,000 to $595,000.
