AFTER a weather-related delay caused by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Swich Up Productions is making a triumphant return with its highly anticipated production of Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical.
The show is now set to take the stage at the Ipswich Civic Centre across Mother’s Day weekend in May, with producers promising a production even more spectacular than originally planned.
“We’ve used this extra time to refine every element of the show. The result is a richer, more powerful version of Jekyll and Hyde that we can’t wait to share with audiences,” SUP President Adrian Carr said.
Set in the shadowy streets of Victorian London, the musical tells the story of Dr Henry Jekyll, a brilliant scientist whose experiment to separate good from evil unleashes his violent alter ego, Edward Hyde.
“This story resonates perhaps even more strongly today than when it was written,” director Timothy Wynn said.
The show features 33 of South East Queensland’s finest performers, led by Matt Leigh in the dual role of Jekyll and Hyde.
