THE uniforms were gone, but the unmistakable spirit of The Springfield Anglican College was on full display as the Class of 2025 returned to campus for the college’s first-ever Scholars Assembly last week.
Held in the new multi-million-dollar Ironbark Sports Centre, the event brought the college’s top academic achievers back together to formally recognise top ATAR results and success in external examinations.
The cohort delivered impressive outcomes, with almost half of students achieving an ATAR above 80, 80 per cent securing their first-choice university course and 93 per cent graduating with one or more VET qualifications.
Principal Steven Morris said the presence of alumni on campus sent a powerful message to current students about what could be achieved through consistency and commitment.
“From record ATARs to exceptional university outcomes, the Class of 2025 has set a benchmark that will inspire the next generation of learners,” Mr Morris said. “Outstanding achievement doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built step by step through discipline, buoyancy and a genuine love of learning.
“At TSAC, excellence grows from our values –respect, integrity and courage.
“As we celebrate our scholars, we’re acknowledging academic success and honouring young people who strive to be their best in character, effort and community.”
The ollege’s top ATAR of 99.25 was achieved by Dux Hongming Sui, who addressed students during the assembly and urged them to cherish their time at school.
He encouraged the audience to measure success by their willingness to show up during challenging moments and to practise kindness.
Academic excellence was also reflected in external examination results, with two students achieving perfect 100 per cent scores in extension subjects for English and Literature and Music.
High-achieving graduate Annabelle Lu, who recorded 100 per cent in English and Literature Extension, said the support and guidance of her teachers played a significant role in her success.
