AS more families look beyond the city for space, connection and a slower pace of life, Ipswich and the surrounding Bremer Valley are fast becoming the destination of choice for a new wave of tree-changers.

That lifestyle shift will take a major step forward in 2026, with Highland Walloon announcing plans for the largest display village ever delivered west of Ipswich – an 18-home showcase designed to reflect how people want to live now and into the future.

The Highland Walloon Display Village will be delivered through a partnership between Master Builders Queensland and community developer Lennium Group, bringing together 12 national, state and local builders in one destination.

For many buyers, the appeal of places like Walloon and Rosewood is about more than a house – it’s about lifestyle.

Larger blocks, room for kids to play, green space on the doorstep and a genuine sense of community are drawing people out of Brisbane and into the western Ipswich corridor in growing numbers.

The new display village will feature 18 purpose-built homes, each showcasing contemporary designs tailored to the needs of modern families making that move.

Participating builders include Simonds, Bold Living, Mayde, Burbank, Hudson Homes, Creation Homes, Stroud Homes, Zoom, Dare, Foundary Co, G.J. Gardener and Australian Building Co.

Lennium Group Development Manager Ian Worthington said the display village reflects the changing priorities of buyers seeking a lifestyle reset without sacrificing convenience.

“We’re seeing strong interest from people who want a tree-change but still need access to schools, shops, healthcare and transport,” Mr Worthington said.

Importantly, all homes on display will be available as house and land packages, offering a clear and accessible pathway into home ownership for families looking to put down roots in the region.

The announcement comes as Highland Walloon continues to record strong demand, with almost 150 home and land packages already sold since launch – a sign of the growing confidence in Ipswich’s western growth areas.

Master Builders Queensland CEO Paul Bidwell said the village would play an important role in helping buyers make informed decisions during a period of rapid regional growth.

“People moving to regions like the Bremer Valley want confidence that they’re building quality homes suited to local lifestyles,” he said.
