WHEN Jarred and Clare Hancock first bought a home in Springfield Rise, they were just 23 and looking for a smart investment close to Brisbane.
Seven years later, the couple has upgraded to a larger block and built their second home in the community – this time preparing for the next chapter of their lives as they plan to start a family.
“Springfield Rise ticked every box – well connected to Brisbane CBD, close to everything in Springfield, and a great long-term investment,” Mr Hancock said.
“Now, with the schools, parks and community feel, we know this is the right place for the next stage of our lives.”
The Hancocks’ journey reflects a broader movement across the Ipswich Growth Corridor, where affordability, lifestyle and infrastructure investment are continuing to attract first-home buyers and upgraders alike.
Their story comes as Stockland launches The Grove, its newest precinct within Springfield Rise, delivering almost 600 new homes to the fast-growing eastern corridor.
The Grove will add 581 homesites, and marks the community’s first major precinct launch in more than two years, taking Springfield Rise to around 90 per cent of its planned 4500 homesites.
The precinct will feature its own central park and connect to Springfield Rise’s 13 existing parks and three major recreation hubs, including Silver Jubilee Park and the Springfield Central Sporting Complex.
Across the broader development, more than 50 hectares of open space and parkland provide space for families to relax and play.
Compared with Brisbane’s inner and middle-ring suburbs, the Ipswich Growth Corridor offers buyers larger blocks and newly built homes at more accessible price points, while remaining within commuting distance of the CBD.
Springfield Rise, located at Spring Mountain, sits alongside the White Rock–Spring Mountain Conservation Estate and close to key facilities including Orion Springfield Central, Mater Private Hospital Springfield and the University of Southern Queensland Springfield campus.
Stockland Project Director Graeme Knox said demand for homes in Greater Springfield remained strong.
“This precinct offers the best of both worlds – surrounded by nature while being minutes from schools, shops, health services and public transport.”
For the Hancocks, the decision to stay and build again was simple.
“It’s not just about the house,” Mr Hancock said.
“It’s about the lifestyle and the future we can build here.”
