WITH rugby league heating up across Ipswich, Brothers Leagues Club kicked off its season in style last week.

Long before the opening whistle, the club was buzzing with footy talk, familiar faces, and the unmistakable energy of a venue at the heart of the city’s sporting and social life.

While the Sports Bar delivers all the match-day excitement, a stroll into the beautifully renovated restaurant reveals another side.

This is no longer just a club bistro – it’s a dining destination where the big-game atmosphere blends seamlessly with comfort and quality.

Spacious, warm, and welcoming, the restaurant suits everything from casual weekday lunches to celebratory dinners.

Whether you arrive before kick-off or linger long after the final siren, it’s a place to relax and enjoy the occasion.

That flexibility extends to dining times. The restaurant is open Monday to Friday for lunch from 11.30am to 2pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, with extended hours until 9pm on Fridays.

On weekends, all-day dining takes over, with service from 11.30am to 9pm on Saturdays and until 8.30pm on Sundays – making it easy to plan a meal around sport, family commitments, or a leisurely weekend visit.

Game days call for proper meals, and Brothers delivers. Crowd favourites anchor the menu: golden chicken schnitzels and parmis with chips and gravy, sticky Korean BBQ chicken wings, salt and pepper squid, and loaded fries piled high with pulled pork, bacon, and smoky barbecue sauce.

Multiple bar spaces complement the food experience, each with its own personality.

The Restaurant Bar offers a relaxed place to enjoy a drink with your meal, featuring a thoughtful wine list, crisp tap beers, and a mix of classic and inspired cocktails.

The Café Bar caters to everything from morning coffee catch-ups to winding down with a glass of wine. With premium teas, full bar service, and a laid-back vibe, it’s a popular spot for live entertainment or casual meet-ups with friends.

Families are equally well catered for, even on the busiest match days. Parents can relax in the ambient restaurant or take in panoramic views of the Brothers fields from the balcony, while children head straight for the Kids Room.

The children’s menu keeps things playful, featuring crumbed fish and chips, chicken “moon rocks”, spaghetti and meatballs, burgers, grilled chicken, and colourful ice-cream bowls finished with popping “moon dust”.

The Sports Bar is where the energy peaks. Live sport on multiple screens, full TAB facilities, pool, darts, poker, and live music every Friday and Saturday night create a venue that stays lively beyond match day.

Brothers Leagues Club is located at 20 Wildey St in Raceview and is open seven days a week from 10am to 2am.
