Far beyond traditional education, Y Schools Ipswich Senior & Junior campus is more than a school, it’s a nurturing and connected community where young people are empowered to grow, discover who they are, and truly thrive.

The school operates holistically to reinforce each student’s body, mind, and spirit. Students are supported through adjusted educational programs alongside integrated wellbeing practices, with a focus on re-engagement, belonging, and positive pathways beyond school.

Wellbeing is prioritised because safety and connection are prerequisites for growth. Teachers and youth workers in every classroom work closely with each student to ensure they feel safe and supported.

Environments and learning spaces are consciously designed to be inclusive and affirming, and allow students to express themselves, build confidence, and form meaningful connections.

Small class sizes, personalised learning plans, and strong relationships help students re-engage with education and achieve academic and personal success.

Alongside Australian Curriculum-aligned subjects, hands-on vocational and training programs help students develop real-world skills, explore industries, and discover the kind of work they truly enjoy. This approach builds motivation and confidence, ensuring students move toward future training and employment with clarity.

Recently combining their Junior and Senior schools into one campus, Y Schools Ipswich is a true community hub. A pantry is being established where students, parents, carers can freely access grocery items, outfits for job interviews, and more. Local partnerships offer valuable life experience, reinforce a sense of purpose and pride, and contribute positively to the Ipswich community, while student-led initiatives and artworks proudly celebrate the school’s diverse cultures and stand as a daily reminder of the school’s core values: respect, integrity, and community.

Operating since 2011, Y Schools Queensland now runs ten campuses across South East Queensland, providing tailored education options for young people who may benefit from a more personalised and supportive learning environment.

Grounded in a deep belief in every student’s potential, Y Schools offer personalised, evidence-based learning practices, underpinned by holistic wellbeing frameworks.

In its Beyond the Classroom Parent and Carer Report from 2025, 96 per cent of parents or carers reported a better experience compared to previous schools, and 95 per cent reported satisfaction with school staff.

Educators and leaders are committed to building strong relationships, and creating meaningful pathways for life after school.

Enrolments are now open for 2026 and 2027 – visit yschools.qld.edu.au.
