IPSWICH’S dining and entertainment scene has a new centrepiece, with Riverlink Shopping Centre’s The Link – a revitalised lifestyle precinct bringing food, entertainment and community experiences together in one vibrant destination.

Following a $150,000 transformation, The Link expands and reimagines part of the centre into a 400sqm multi-use precinct connecting Riverlink’s retail offering to a new outdoor riverfront space overlooking the Bremer River.

Designed as a place for locals to gather day and night, The Link combines dining, entertainment and interactive experiences in a lively community-focused setting.

The precinct is home to seven eateries and entertainment venues, alongside a large alfresco dining area, interactive light-up furniture and two dedicated stage spaces to host free entertainment and live music.

Riverlink Shopping Centre Acting Centre Manager Jamie Sneyd said The Link has been created in response to Ipswich’s rapid growth and the community’s appetite for more lifestyle-driven experiences.

“The Link is something we’ve been working on for the past couple of years as we’ve seen the Ipswich area grow,” he said.

“It’s more than a collection of restaurants. It’s a precinct built for the community to enjoy throughout the day and night.”

“We’ve invested heavily in design, infrastructure, and ongoing programming to ensure it’s not just a place to eat but somewhere people come to spend time, connect and be entertained.”

Retailers and eateries at The Link include; iPlay (games & entertainment), Limelight Cinemas, Ruby Chews (burgers & shakes located inside Limelight Cinemas), The Coffee Club, iSushi, Dumpling Paradise House, Rashays, Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers, Jamaica Blue and Baskin Robbins.

More than 110 additional seats have been introduced across the precinct, giving visitors greater flexibility to dine, relax and socialise throughout the space.

The Link also introduces QR code ordering across participating venues, allowing guests to order from multiple eateries at once and have food and drinks delivered directly to their table.

Whether enjoying the alfresco dining area, relaxing on the balcony overlooking the Bremer River or spending time in the entertainment zones, visitors can mix and match menu offerings from across the precinct for a seamless shared dining experience.

A standout feature of The Link is its interactive entertainment zone, designed to evolve from a daytime
family-friendly destination into a vibrant night-time space.

Located in the Gasometer precinct near Rashays, iPlay and Limelight Cinemas, the activation includes LED see-saws, a free illuminated ping pong table and neon-lit installations featuring glowing tables, stools and sculptural elements that create an immersive atmosphere throughout the precinct.

Designed as a welcoming social hub for Ipswich, there will be ongoing live music and entertainment held at The Link.
