Fans of Australia’s hit legal comedy Fisk could soon be returning to the halls of Gruber & Gruber, with industry reports suggesting the ABC is preparing to commission a fourth season of the Logie Award-winning series.
According to TV Blackbox, Fisk is expected to return, reuniting the show’s principal cast as production gears up to resume in Melbourne. While the ABC has yet to officially confirm the recommissioning, the broadcaster is reportedly expected to make the announcement during its upcoming Upfronts Showcase.
Filming is understood to be scheduled to begin in Melbourne next April, with the new season tipped to premiere in the final months of 2027.
The reported return follows months of speculation surrounding the future of the much-loved comedy. Although the ABC had not formally announced another season, the series was never cancelled, leaving the door open for Helen Tudor-Fisk and her eccentric colleagues to return.
Created by and starring Kitty Flanagan, Fisk follows former corporate lawyer Helen Tudor- Fisk as she rebuilds her life after personal and professional setbacks by joining suburban wills and probate firm Gruber & Gruber in Melbourne.
Flanagan has previously expressed her desire to continue the series but acknowledged that scheduling the increasingly in-demand ensemble cast had presented a challenge.
TV Blackbox reports that the full principal cast is expected to return, including Kitty Flanagan, Julia Zemiro, Aaron Chen and Marty Sheargold.
