BROTHERS Leagues Club has been reaching out to Redbank Plains State School students for the past two years in a bid to provide employment pathways after the students finish their studies.
The club opened its doors for the students to attend the club to gain experience in all facets of the hospitality Industry.
Those who took up the opportunity were required to complete 12 industry shifts in order to obtain their Certificate II in Hospitality and Kitchen Operations.
Students engaged in interactive learning sessions and performed practical skills while gaining a sound knowledge and understanding of club operations.
They expanded their knowledge base with applied duties in key departments such as reception, food and beverage, and kitchen which includes both preparation and service.
This year Brothers decided the partnership needed to be celebrated with a night of appreciation where students received their certificates and two major trophies.
The outstanding achievement trophies were handed to Nico Leo and Destiny Kofe.
Brothers Leagues Club General Manager, Matt Simonov, said the successful partnership was just one of many community support projects run each year by the club.
In good news Brothers have just employed two of the students who completed the course.
