BROOKWATER’S transformation from a fledgling residential development into one of Greater Springfield’s premium addresses has reached another milestone, with six of its remaining golf-front homesites released to the market.
Springfield City Group has unveiled the limited release overlooking Brookwater Golf and Country Club, including two flagship blocks measuring 1215sqm and 1356sqm and priced from $2.2 million.
The release comes as the Greg Norman-designed championship course celebrates its 25th anniversary and signals the closing stages of golf-front residential development within Springfield City. It also provides a striking snapshot of how dramatically property values have changed during that period.
Golf-front land that was valued at about $160,000 in 2001 is now being offered for more than $2 million as large residential blocks become increasingly scarce across South East Queensland.
Springfield City Group Founder and Chairman Maha Sinnathamby said Brookwater’s evolution reflected more than two decades of planning and investment across the wider city.
“Brookwater is one of the clearest examples in Australia of what can be achieved through patient and visionary city building,” Mr Sinnathamby said.
“When we commenced Springfield more than three decades ago, our vision was to create a city that delivered lasting economic, social and environmental value for future generations.
“The growth of Brookwater over the past 25 years demonstrates the success of that vision.”
Large homesites with direct golf-course frontage have become an increasingly scarce commodity.
Brookwater Residential Head of Sales and Marketing Hayley Wighton said that scarcity was attracting attention well beyond the local market.
“The market is responding strongly to quality assets that cannot be readily replicated,” Ms Wighton said.
“There are very few opportunities remaining in South East Queensland where buyers can secure more than 1000 square metres of level land with absolute golf course frontage within a mature and fully established community.”
The latest release arrives after more than two decades of residential development at Brookwater.
A quarter of a century after the golf course helped establish the community’s identity, the opportunity to build a new home directly overlooking its fairways is rapidly approaching its final holes.
