Nathan Detroit, a Manhattan gambler, urgently needs to find a new venue for his craps shooting games. He receives help from Sky Masterson, who decides to aid Nathan and bases their agreement on a wager. Nathan bets that Sky will not be able to go on a date with the woman of his choice. However, Nathan chooses Sarah Brown, a pious missionary woman. Miss Adelaide, Nathan’s companion and long-term fiancée wants to put an end to the gambling antics so they can wed. Guys and Dolls features some of Frank Loesser’s most memorable tunes, including “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat”, “Adelaide’s Lament”, “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” and the classic “Luck Be a Lady.”

Ipswich Musical Theatre Company Inc brings together Director Robbie Parkin (previously directed Wicked and Mamma Mia for IMTC), Musical Director Peter Laughton (from QLD Symphony Orchestra) and Choreographer Simon Lind (previously choreographed Wicked, Strictly Ballroom, The Pirates of Penzance, We Will Rock You and Phantom of the Opera for IMTC) for this fabulous production of Guys and Dolls. Each IMTC production is a theatrical extravaganza, with a live orchestra of professional musicians, costumes and sets coming from Melbourne and staging using CPC’s latest LED technology.
