A RECORD number of new residents have started 2023 by moving into their recently completed apartments in the welcoming retirement living community at Aveo Springfield.
Community Manager Chelsea Follett said several residents had acted on their resolutions to downsize from their family homes to a arefree, relaxed lifestyle in the heart of Springfield.
The village’s second stage opened in October and a record number of residents have already moved in.
“Our new residents are starting the year afresh by immersing themselves in the village’s lifestyle and already creating lovely friendships with their neighbours,’’ Chelsea said.
“Many of our residents moved to Aveo Springfield to be closer to their families who live in the area. The lifestyle here is just wonderful, it’s friendly, safe and relaxed.’’
Jan Burchardt moved into her new two-bedroom apartment at Aveo Springfield in January and is glad she did.
“I had been doing the mowing, whipper snipping and hedging myself at home but it all got too hard. It was time to move on and I’d been planning this move for a while,’’ Jan said.
“From my initial dealings with the sales consultant and touring the apartment, I felt quite certain that I was making the right decision.
“I have been warmly welcomed by the staff and other residents. The facilities, including the indoor pool are excellent, and all the various activities are easily accessible.
“I told my son that I’d found my forever home and I’m so happy here.’’
