THE first step in a five year upgrade for the Brookwater Golf was unveiled over the weekend with a new larger golf pro shop opened.
The club’s General Manager Patrick Young, a former director of the Asian Tour, is overseeing the development that will focus on enhancements to the course and providing greater leisure opportunities.
The innovations add to a reputation for the Greater Springfield course which burst onto Queensland’s golf scene in 2002 with a dynamic design by golf legend Greg Norman.
“We’re proud to be the No.1-ranked public access course in Queensland and the advances we are making have the potential to provide our golfers with even greater access to a wide range of benefits,” Patrick said.
“It is not just our members who will benefit but the wider community as we aim to showcase even more of the natural beauty and benefits this much-loved championship course has to offer in the years to come.
“We’ve designed new affordable membership offers, wide improvements to the country club, inclusive of a lifestyle membership, with continual upgrades to the golf course.”
“We have a double-ended grass driving range, with a fully automated ball system and anyone can join us,” Patrick said.
The old golf shop will be converted into a member’s lounge as part of a make-over of the main club which now features a new caterer.
