AS the rugby league season edges closer, anticipation is building across Ipswich – and at Brothers Leagues Club, the buzz has already arrived.
Long before the opening kick-off, the club is alive with footy talk, familiar faces and the unmistakable hum of a venue that understands its place at the heart of the city’s sporting and social life.
This is no longer just a club bistro – it’s a dining destination that balances big-game atmosphere with genuine comfort and quality.
Spacious, warm and welcoming, it suits everything from casual lunches to celebratory dinners, whether you’re there before kick-off or long after the final siren.
That flexibility extends to when people choose to dine. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday, serving lunch from 11.30am to 2pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, with extended hours until 9pm on Fridays.
On weekends, all-day dining takes over, with service from 11.30am to 9pm on Saturdays and until 8.30pm on Sundays – making it easy to plan a meal around sport, family commitments or a leisurely weekend visit.
Game days call for proper meals, and Brothers delivers. Crowd favourites anchor the menu: golden chicken schnitzels and parmis with chips and gravy, sticky Korean BBQ chicken wings, salt and pepper squid and loaded fries stacked high with pulled pork, bacon and smoky barbecue sauce.
Supporting the food experience are multiple bar spaces, each with its own personality. The Restaurant Bar offers a relaxed place to enjoy a drink with your meal, featuring a thoughtful wine list, crisp tap beers and a mix of classic and inspired cocktails.
Elsewhere, the Café Bar caters to everything from morning catch-ups over barista-made coffee to winding down with a glass of wine.
Families are equally well catered for, even on the busiest match days. Parents can relax in the ambient restaurant or enjoy panoramic views across the Brothers fields from the club’s balcony, while children make a beeline for one of the venue’s standout features.
The Kids Room is far more than a token play area. It’s a state-of-the-art, interactive space designed to keep kids engaged and entertained, giving parents the rare chance to enjoy a full meal while the kids have just as much fun.
The children’s menu keeps things playful and familiar, with favourites like crumbed fish and chips, chicken “moon rocks”, spaghetti and meatballs, burgers, grilled chicken and colourful ice-cream bowls finished with popping “moon dust”.
Then there’s the Sports Bar – where the energy peaks delivering live sport all day, full TAB facilities, bar service, pool, darts, poker and live music every Friday and Saturday night.
Beyond the food, drink and entertainment, Brothers’ greatest strength is its sense of community. The club is deeply woven into Ipswich’s rugby league fabric.
Brothers Leagues Club is located at 20 Wildey St in Raceview and is open seven days a week, from 10am to 2am daily.
