CLUB Parkview has reinforced its role as a true community club, rallying locals together to support an important cause while creating opportunities for connection and giving back.

The club raised $2385 for the West Moreton Health Foundation at its previous May breakfast, before building on that effort at last week’s Golf Day – helping the Foundation surpass $35,000 raised for men’s health across the month.

More than just a fundraising effort, the result reflects Club Parkview’s commitment to supporting the wellbeing of the region and strengthening community ties through shared events.

Marketing and Loyalty Maximisation Manager Madison Moulds said that when approached by WMHF to partner with them for Men’s Health Month, the answer immediately was “yes”.

“We have partnered with the foundation since 2025, starting with their Go Pink Breast Cancer Awareness month in October,” she said.

“The funds they raise are vital for supporting our local hospitals and medical centres in providing new equipment and assistance for research.

“Club Parkview sits at the very edge of Ipswich & the West Moreton Region, so to be able to advocate for such a worthy cause on this side of town was very important to us. “To let our local community know that they too can get access to the healthcare providers in our region, and to know that simply starting a conversation could change a life.”

That same community spirit will be front and centre this Anzac Day, with the club hosting a full day of commemorations and activities.

With Club Parkview previously known as the Goodna Services Club, Ms Moulds said it was very important to maintain the legacy of remembering the fallen.

“We work very closely with the Goodna RSL Subbranch in supporting all commemorative services throughout the year, with Anzac Day being the most commonly recognised,” she said. “For over 25 years, our club has been the community hub for veterans and their families to gather.

“As we see the last few soldiers from the generation of WW2, it is even more important that we continue to remember them.”

Locals are invited to a Dawn Service from 4am at the Memorial Stone on the corner of Church and Queen streets, before the traditional Gunfire Breakfast from 5am to 9.30am, serving pea and ham soup along with rum and milk.

The day will continue with live entertainment from 7am through to 4pm, along with two sessions of Two Up at 10am and 2pm, offering a chance for the community to connect and reflect.

With all-day dining available and no public holiday surcharges, Club Parkview is again opening its doors as a welcoming hub for locals to honour service, share traditions and support one another.
