WHETHER you’re dreaming of the pool or planning a cruise, this is your one-stop shop for style, sass, and feeling fabulous in custom-fitted swimwear.

Yes, the independently owned Cossies R Us has officially arrived in Ipswich! Get ready to make a splash with their stunning range of high-quality, stylish swimwear.

Leading the charge is former Wollongong-based business owner Karen Lepard.

A former nurse, Karen began her retail journey in 2010 when she purchased Cossies R Us. For over 20 years, she has been fitting clients of all ages, sizes, and health needs with some of the best swimwear on the market.

Her clients speak highly of her warm personality, expert eye for design and colour, and knack for perfect sizing. As they say down south: Wollongong’s loss is Ipswich’s gain.

Karen and her husband recently relocated north to be closer to their daughter and her young family in Springfield – including two energetic grandsons.

Karen’s nursing background, including a year on an oncology ward earlier in her working life, combined with updated training from BreastCare nurses, has equipped her to offer specialised fittings and thoughtfully selected swimwear for women with a range of needs.

She also stocks swim-form prostheses as part of her inclusive approach to customer care – ensuring every woman feels comfortable, confident and stylish.

“We stock sizes from 8 to 30,” Karen said.

“And we carry the same wide range of cup sizes.”

Her range acknowledges that no two bodies are the same. Drop into the boutique and you’ll find one-pieces, tankinis, bikinis, separates, and even full-length swimsuits with hoods.

Karen recently fitted a customer with a full-length suit for an Amazon river cruise – it was perfect for insect protection!

But no matter the style, Karen’s advice remains consistent:

“I’m very honest,” she said. “I’m not here for the commission – I’m here to make sure you look your absolute best, wherever you’re headed.

“It’s all about the right fit – for example, no one wants a baggy back!”

The move to Ipswich is also proving to be a perfect fit for Karen. She’s fallen in love with her new home – a charming old Queenslander – the welcoming community, beautiful parks, and local music scene.

“My husband and I are big jazz fans, and we’ve already connected with some fantastic entertainment,” she said.
