A WEEK after being involved in a serious four-horse fall at Bundamba, apprentice jockey Emily Lang made a courageous return to the same track – and marked it with a memorable win.

Lang partnered the short-priced favourite Deep Vegas in race two, guiding the Tony Gollan-trained mare to a commanding four-length victory.

It was a triumphant moment for the young rider, who showed both resilience and composure to return to the track so soon.

Two days after the fall, Lang had eight rides at the Sunshine Coast, but this return to Ipswich meant a lot with her four rides.

The win was one of several standout performances on a competitive seven-race card.

The day opened with Linas Reel breaking his maiden at start number 10. The four-year-old gelding made an immediate impression in his Queensland debut.

In race three, Enuff Pills defied a betting drift to notch her fifth career win. The honest mare, who thrives at Bundamba, has now earned more than $110,000 in prize money.

Paleface Ringo extended his winning streak in race four under Michael Hellyer, while Foolsay finally broke through in race five, storming home from wide to claim his maiden at long odds on his 12th start.

Cejay Graham guided El Pensador to victory in race six, and apprentice Corey Sutherland closed out the day by riding Taltarni Fields to a strong win in the final event.

With the season winding down, Angela Jones leads the jockey premiership with 22 wins, 19 seconds, and 10 third placings. Tony Gollan continues to top the trainer standings with 31 wins, 28 seconds, and 13 thirds.

Racing returns to Bundamba today, with the first event jumping at noon and the last scheduled for 5pm.
