A fresh chapter has begun for Ipswich residents living with disability, with Endeavour Foundation officially opening the doors to its new Learning and Lifestyle Hub in the heart of the city.
Located opposite Queens Park at Level 1, 2 Brisbane St, the new facility is already providing participants with greater access to community activities, public transport and opportunities to develop independence while building lasting friendships.
The relocation marks a significant milestone for the organisation, which has supported Australians living with disability for 75 years.
For participants like Redbank resident Darrin, the move is about more than just a change of address.
Attending the centre three times a week, Darrin said the new location had made it easier to access activities he enjoys, while also providing new opportunities to explore.
Endeavour Foundation Executive General Manager for Home and Community Leanne Rutherford said the new site reflected the organisation’s commitment to ensuring people with disability had every opportunity to thrive.
Site Manager Ceri Stephens said having Queens Park directly across the road created new possibilities for daily outings and social experiences.
