THE annual Ipswich Hospice Golf Day not only beat the recent rain it also beat many previous fundraising records.

With the continued support of the Sandy Gallop Golf Club the greens were at capacity with 152 golfers chipping it out for the Hospice.

The count is still proceeding, but it has already been confirmed that more than $15,000 will flow into the centre to help it continue with its great work caring for those in their final days.

While the Ipswich Hospice does receive government funding that money doesn’t fully cover the costs incurred in running a caring and compassionate organisation. The Local Ipswich News was proud to be one of the major sponsors this year alongside numerous others.
