THE festive spirit was on full display across the city as the winners of the 2025 City of Ipswich Christmas Lights Competition were officially announced, celebrating the creativity, generosity and community pride of local residents and businesses.
A total of 68 entries lit up neighbourhoods across Ipswich this Christmas, transforming streets, homes and shopfronts into festive destinations for families and visitors alike.
The People’s Choice Award and Best Residential title both went to 36 Mahogany St, Raceview, which captured the hearts of the community with its standout display.
In the Best New Entry category, top honours were awarded to 29 Waterside Drive, Springfield Lakes, with 2 Pearwood St, Flinders View named runner-up, recognising first-time entrants who impressed judges with their creativity and festive flair.
The title of Best Street was claimed by Pommer St in Brassall, with homes at 24, 26 and 32 Pommer St combining their efforts to create a coordinated display that drew visitors from across the city.
Runner-up honours went to Hillier Court, Flinders View, where properties at 17, 21 and 23 Hillier Court showcased a strong sense of neighbourhood collaboration.
Local businesses also joined in the festive celebrations, with By Emily Kate Studio taking out Best Business, while the Marburg Licensed Post Office was named runner-up for its seasonal display.
Five entrants were also recognised as Lucky Entrant winners, with prizes awarded to displays at 160 Brisbane St, Ipswich; 11 Paul Tully Avenue, Collingwood Park; 4 Yew St, Yamanto; 31 Parker Street, Goodna; and 99 Santa Monica Drive, Augustine Heights.
Competition organisers thanked all participants for their efforts.
