IPSWICH has unveiled a bold new vision to shape the next decade of creativity, positioning the city as a nationally recognised creative hub while staying grounded in its rich history and community spirit.

Adopted at the last Ipswich City Council meeting for the year, Our Creative Future 2025-2035 sets out a 10-year roadmap for arts and culture across the city.

The strategy outlines shared values and key priorities to guide investment, advocacy and coordinated delivery as Ipswich continues to grow at an unprecedented pace.

Economic and Cultural Development Committee Chairperson Councillor Pye Augustine said the strategy would act as a clear “north star” for the city’s creative sector during a period of rapid population growth and transformation.
