CRICKET action across Ipswich last weekend saw dominant victories and standout individual performances.

Strollers Blue posted a massive total of 7/372, led by an explosive knock from Matthew Curnow, who smashed 152 off just 89 balls, including 16 fours and 12 sixes.

Curnow’s brilliance was well supported by Daniel Spina (74 off 56) and Tyson Simpson (57 off 46).

Despite a determined effort from Northsiders, who were bowled out for 160 in just 30.2 overs, Strollers Blue cruised to a resounding 212-run victory.

Laidley Mulgowie secured an 88-run win over Thunder, posting a total of 8/225.

Macaulay Rapmund stole the show with a superb 100 off 72 balls, anchoring his team’s total.

Thunder struggled against a disciplined bowling attack and were dismissed for 137 in 35.3 overs, handing Laidley Mulgowie a comfortable victory.

Division Three saw exciting encounters in round four.

At Redbank Plains Reserve, the LOS Redbacks showcased their all-around strength to defeat Strollers Mallarra.

Batting first, the Redbacks posted a formidable 250 runs, with Shane Ross (72), Darren Cole (55), and Nick O’Connell (48) leading the charge.

Mallarra’s chase faltered, and they were bowled out for just 138, handing the Redbacks a convincing win.

In another tight encounter, Fassifern triumphed over Centrals in a low-scoring affair at Coronation Park.

Fassifern posted a modest total of 195, which proved enough as they bowled Centrals out for just 157, despite a strong knock of 57 from Andrew Dionysius.
