Ipswich FC men secured an impressive 4-0 victory against Capalaba FC men in the Kappa Pro Series 2025 at Briggs Road Sporting Complex on Friday night.

The home side showed its strength from the outset, with Josh Holden opening the scoring in the 26th minute.

Ipswich continued to dominate possession, and the pressure paid off with additional goals from Hayato Takaoka (65’), Luca Rossiello (82’) and a second for Holden in the 86th minute.

The match saw several impactful substitutions, with Takaoka, Finn Ball, and Maradoche Mipro all stepping onto the field as Ipswich’s lead grew.

Notably, the side maintained its intensity throughout the match, with several key defensive players contributing to the shutout.

Capalaba FC struggled to break through Ipswich’s dogged defence, despite some determined efforts.

Jace Hudson and Jac Parrott, both strong contributors for Ipswich, helped solidify the backline, while Mitchell Bird and Nicholas Piper were instrumental in maintaining forward pressure.

Coach Andrew Catton was impressed by the team performance and said that while the forwards effort was impress, so too was the defensive performance in not conceding a goal.

“I also think our guys left some out there,” he said.

When asked about standout players, Catton said it was a hard question to answer with the talent in the squad.

Ipswich FC will host Peninsula Power at Briggs Road Sporting Complex this Sunday at 4.30pm.
