IN a thrilling NBL1 North Men’s clash at Bendigo Bank Cornubia Park Sports Centre, the Logan Thunder edged out the Ipswich Force 127-116 in an overtime battle that had fans on the edge of their seats.

It was a gut-wrenching result for Ipswich in a week marred by the departure of American import James Young.

The contest came down to the wire, with returning player DJ Mitchell missing a crucial free throw that could have sealed the win in regulation time.

Both teams traded blows across four quarters in a game that had all the hallmarks of a classic.

The previous night, Ipswich fell 97-83 to the Northside Wizards at Northside Indoor Sports Centre.

On Saturday night they travel to face the South West Metro Pirates at Hibiscus Sports Stadium.
