IPSWICH is making a strong mark on Queensland’s property market, with two of its suburbs featuring among the state’s top destinations for house sales in the latest quarterly data.
Springfield Lakes led the way, claiming the top spot, while Redbank Plains came in third, highlighting Ipswich as a hotspot for buyers seeking affordable, lifestyle-focused homes.
Local buyers are praising the appeal of these suburbs with access to family friendly amenities.
“Facilities including Town Square shopping centre, parks and schools offer everything that young families need,” Toni Hutchinson said.
“My family does not have to travel far for things when it is all on our doorstep.”
Meanwhile, new Redbank Plains resident Jason Dawkins said the access to Brisbane was a key to the region’s appeal.
“Working in the city and living here is easier because I have easy access to Brisbane, and on the weekends, I can get to the Gold Coast without any hassle.”
The new Quarterly Market Update from property technology firm InfoTrack, covering sales from July 1 to September 30, shows the growing popularity of Ipswich suburbs among families and investors alike.
InfoTrack Chief Operating Officer Lee Bailie said the success of these suburbs reflected a trend of buyers prioritising space, convenience, and lifestyle when choosing a home.
“Springfield Lakes and Redbank Plains continue to demonstrate Ipswich’s appeal to both families and investors,” Mr Bailie said.
“These suburbs offer the perfect balance of community living with easy access to Brisbane, making them highly sought after.”
Other high-performing suburbs included Moreton Bay’s Caboolture, Morayfield, and Burpengary, Gold Coast favourites Pimpama, Ormeau, and Upper Coomera, the Sunshine Coast’s Buderim, and Redland Bay.
Ipswich’s strong showing underscores the city’s growing reputation as a property hotspot, with lifestyle, affordability, and convenient access to Brisbane driving interest.
