The newly renovated Plantations Restaurant is the winner of “Best Casual Dining Restaurant in Qld” 2018, as judged by The Qld Hotel Awards, and one meal there you will understand why.
A contemporary-style dining experience that blends a café style menu with a huge range of delicious meals including pizza, pastas, seafood and parmi’s like their Mexican Parmigiana, a dish they are proud to pin their hat on.
If you are after a drink to wash away a long week, toast a celebration or just a catch up with mates than THE PA has you covered with Tap’d – the biggest bar in the Southern Hemisphere with 72 different beers and ciders on tap.

The Prince Alfred Hotel was built in 1842 and even though the establishment was destroyed by fire in 1961, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1963, with the original cold room still standing today, where it did back in 1842.
In 1987, the Johnson Family purchased the hotel from Carlton and have are still the passionate owners.
