The Forensic Crash Unit has charged a 17-year-old female following an investigation into a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash at Purga in May.
Police responded to reports of a traffic crash on Ipswich Boonah Rd about 5.45pm on Thursday, May 16.
It will be alleged a Toyota Rav4 was travelling north along Ipswich Boonah Rd when it veered onto the wrong side of the road, striking a Toyota Hilux.
Six people, three in each car, were taken to hospital.
One of the passengers in the Toyota Hilux, a 25-year-old woman, was transported to Ipswich Hospital with serious injuries.
Her unborn baby died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the Toyota Rav4, a 17-year-old Boonah female, was charged with one count of driving without due care and attention causing death.
She will be mentioned in Ipswich Children’s Court on Tuesday, November 19.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY CHARGES, SOUTH RIPLEY
Police have charged a 23-year-old Southport man with multiple offences following an attempted robbery in a South Ripley home on October 29.
Police will allege the man attended a Frankland St address shortly before 8.30am and threatened the occupants with a handgun.
It will be further alleged he fled shortly afterwards in a stolen red Mazda 3.
The Mazda 3 was involved in a single-vehicle crash when it hit a pole along the Bruce Highway near the Mary River Rd overpass in Cooroy just before 4pm.
The driver allegedly left the scene on foot and was taken into custody a short time later.
A search of the vehicle by police recovered various items of interest, including ammunition.
