OPPOSITION Leader Steven Miles has unveiled his shadow cabinet featuring several new faces, with two of the four local MPs receiving titles.

Member for Jordan Charis Mullen will retain Multicultural Affairs and gain Public Works, after being re-elected despite a 7.2% swing to the LNP.

Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum has been appointed as Shadow Minster for Energy after being re-elected despite a 6.9% swing away from the Labor Party.

The entire Labor Opposition frontbench will for the first time take on shadow cabinet roles.

Shannon Fentiman will look after Treasury, with Opposition Deputy Leader Cameron Dick set to clash with Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie as Shadow Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Mark Bailey has seen his political career resurrected after being dumped from cabinet last year, appointed as Shadow Minister for Health, Ambulance Services and Mental Health.

“I think he will be very well equipped to expose the new minister and their promises in healthcare,” Mr Miles said.

“But I remember that we had a very significant rebuild of our hospitals underway, and his job will be to make sure that the LNP delivers on those new hospitals.”
