The Rosewood Christmas Festival will be held on Friday, December 16 from 4.30pm, at the Rosewood Showgrounds.

Individuals and community groups have been encouraged to have a stall at the event and there is no charge.

Over many years, the Lions Club of Rosewood hosted the Christmas Festival, but due to the ever increasing costs involved, they stepped away this year.

Rosewood Community Centre has now jumped in to continue the much-loved event and you can contact them to organise a stall.

One community group already registered for a stall is the Rosewood Community Art Group.

They were started by Jean Gosling about five years ago. She was able to secure premises for the weekly art sessions at the Girl Guides Hut, 79 Matthew Street, Rosewood on Friday mornings.

The members have exhibited at the Rosewood Show, Marburg Black Snake Festival and Ipswich show. From time to time, they have workshops, and will be increasing these next year.
