LISA’S Lunches which is now an officially registered Ipswich charity held its second fundraiser over the weekend at Zarraffa’s Yamanto.

They set a goal to raise $2000 to not only support the work that Lisa’s Lunches does but to also support a young single parent.

The mum, who is battling terminal ovarian cancer, will now be provided with a photography session to create some lasting memories with her children and will also receive funds to offset the cost of accommodation while she undergoes treatment.

Owners of Zaraffa’s Yamanto, Jason and Leah Meares not only generously offered the space but also donated a dollar from every coffee sold between 9am and 1pm on Saturday to Lisa’s Lunches.

With their donation and the sale of raffle tickets, which included a Weber Baby Q donated from Ipswich BBQ’s and Fireplaces, Lisa’s Lunches was able to smash the fundraising goal and will now be able to help even more families on their cancer journey.

The event was supported by not only the community but also local businesses who donated raffle prizes as well as the Western Pride Football Club.
