ABC’s popular Take 5 will be back on the screen in early October.

Take 5 is Zan Rowe’s popular award-winning Double J radio segment and podcast turned critically acclaimed television series.

Across six episodes, renowned figures in music and screen join Zan to delve into some of the most personal moments of their lives.

They share five songs that have soundtracked their journey through life and invite us to think about our own.

A year after the critically acclaimed premiere season the second instalment of Take 5 sees Zan return with her signature warmth, expert knowledge and disarming interview style.

Joining her is a cast of icons ready to share the songs that shaped who they are today.

Oasis legend Noel Gallagher reveals his songs of escape, Scottish-Australian rock star Jimmy Barnes celebrates the music that made him, rising superstar and queer icon G Flip shares their determination,

Gold Logie-nominated actor Mark Coles Smith centres himself with home, and Natalie Imbruglia and Lin-Manuel Miranda share stories, their own and others, across their five songs.

Zan said the success of Take 5’s first season confirmed what she long believed: songs hold our stories, and no matter who we are, we all have a deep connection to music.

“I’m so proud that Take 5 is returning to prime time with even more incredible epiphanies from the people we love, sharing the songs that made them,” she said.

The second season of Take 5 is even bigger in heart and revelation. Filmed in London, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, the stacked lineup all unlock different, more vulnerable sides to themselves and invite us to come along for the journey.

Take 5 with Zan Rowe on ABC TV Tuesday, on October 10 at 8pm .
