FORMER Ipswich softball pitcher Tanika Harris has a new victory medal in her cabinet after winning the Under 23 Softball National title in Adelaide.

Tanika was a key player for the all-conquering Queensland team.

She was a pinch-hitter in the finals victory, getting one hit from her one at-bat.

Her hitting contribution was critical in the win as it came in the seventh inning, with player of the final Brooke Stewart getting the hit which got Tanika around to home for the team’s third run of the game.

Tanika was regularly used as a pinch-hitter or in the designated hitter spots throughout the tournament.

Queensland finished top of the standings for the tournament.
