IT’S rare for an 11-year-old to know exactly what they want to do in the years to come.

Brookwater’s Logan Kelly is the exception to that rule, he set his sights on becoming a performer and producer after attending a small drag revue performed at North Ipswich Bowls Club in 2018.

He told his parents of his ambitions in the days after that show and in the years that have followed, they helped him embrace his goals.

At 7.30pm on Friday, July 21 Logan will stage his first Drag Production, a two-hour revue at the Triffid Theatre in Brisbane.

After four years of acting, dance and singing lessons he will also be part of the show.

On the stage with him will be leading Australian drag performers, Coco Jumbo and Beverly Kills, who both appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race Australia series.

Like Logan they will each perform a 10-minute segment for the show.

“I reached out to them a few months ago and asked if they be part of the show and they both said yes,” Logan said.

“I’m not sure if they knew at the time that I was only 15 years-old, but they do now and both are looking forward to the night at the Triffid,” he said.

There is much more to producing a show than just getting the performers locked in and Logan has been busy for months getting everything in place for the big night.

“I have had to be across a host of things including designing the sets, organising the lighting, the marketing and ticketing and of course at the same time rehearsing for my spot on the night,” he said.

While Logan devotes most of his time to preparing for his future acting career he is also dedicated to Karate and is currently a black belt first dan.

If producing his first show and backing it financially is a worry for him, he certainly doesn’t reveal it.

While early ticket sales at $54 each haven’t been flying out the door, he’s confident it will right on the night.

That’s typical of the confidence that Logan has. He knows where he is headed and is dedicated towards success.
