WHEN it comes to supporting worthwhile causes, Ipswich has always revealed a big heart. That was once again on show during October as thousands of dollars were raised for breast cancer treatment and screening programs by the Ipswich Hospital Foundation during its Go Pink month. The district’s big three clubs, CSI, Jets and Brothers all packed out major functions with hundreds coming forward to support and donate. While it will take some time to count the full amount raised the clubs also helped spread the word around the fundraising initiatives of the IHF. The final event for the month was a Go Pink Breakfast at the Brother’s Leagues last Friday.

Early start no issue

BROTHERS Leagues Club staged the final Go Pink function for October and once again the district came out in numbers to support it. Despite the event starting at 6.45am everyone arrived with a smile for the breakfast event. Once again the room was a sell-out reflecting the support for Breast Cancer services and research. The month of events all went to supporting the Ipswich Hospital Foundation.
