UNIVERSITY of Southern Queensland Emeritus Professor Dr Shahjahan Khan has been recognised on the world stage, receiving the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indian Association of Reliability and Statistics during its 9th International Conference.

The award – the highest honour conferred by IARS – celebrates global leaders who have made extraordinary and enduring contributions to statistical science.

Professor Khan was commended for his lifelong academic excellence, pioneering research, international influence, and decades of professional and community service.

Professor Khan said he was honoured to receive the recognition, attributing the achievement to the collaborations, mentorships and institutional support that had shaped his career.
