Three amazing local textile artists, Mieke den Otter, Dorothy Walsh and Belinda Whitehouse have a wonderful Exhibition on show at Arttime Supplies, Brisbane Street, Ipswich.

The theme of the exhibition ‘what you have done with it,’ is perfectly represented in the creation of the wearable art and accessories displayed.

The three artists have taken old cloths, felt and textiles revamped, reused, and created artworks which are both beautiful and in some cases wearable.

Mieke said, ‘the starting point of the works has been a unique look at deconstruction of textiles found and collected by us. Each artist has developed the pieces to a new purpose with skill and creativity.’

The group is open to everyone regardless of age and skill level, Dorothy said beginners are welcome.

The group meets regularly at Brighton House, Cooneana Heritage Centre and for more information about this group contact 0400292189

The exhibition ‘What you have done with it’ will run till November 28 at Arttime Supplies.
