The Marburg art group is open to all people who have an interest in art, whether it be as a beginner or an experienced artist.

They provide a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space to create your own masterpiece.

There are experienced artists who can lend advice and inspiration when needed.

Members are free to use whatever medium they like from pencils, watercolour, acrylics to oils.

In April the group is holding its annual Art Show and members have been asked to create a piece of artwork that is “thrift shop paintings redone” which will be a lot of fun.

Artists have to find an old painting or print at an op shop, transform and reimagine the image to create something new.

I have already seen a few completed ones and I’m getting excited about this art show.

The group will also be having a couple of kids and adults’ art classes during the period of the show in April.
