The dream holiday when you win Lotto

The new Explora 1 will take luxury cruising to a new level.

WHEN I occasionally buy a lottery ticket its usually because I was enticed by a jackpot amount in the millions.

It sets me thinking of what I would do with the new found wealth.

What house would I buy, the boat, the car and the amazing oversea’s holiday I would book.

It doesn’t hurt to dream sometimes, even if you know there is little chance the big ball will drop for you.

One holiday that would be at the top of my bucket list would be to book the Owner’s Residence cabin aboard MSC’s latest cruise ship, Explora 1.

LUXURY PLUS: When you pay $92,800 for a seven day cruise for you and a partner this is what you will walk into.

Before I let you in on the price allow me to explain a bit about the cabin, although I should call it a penthouse suite.

The Owner’s Residence is the largest passenger accommodation on board, featuring multiple spaces to relax, entertain and unwind while enjoying panoramic ocean views from the private outdoor terrace, extending over the full ship’s width.

The living space spans over 280 sqm, comprising the suite area and a 125 sqm outdoor terrace, complete with an infinity whirlpool and a dining table for eight guests.

Guests staying in the Owner’s Residence enjoy dedicated private butler services, unpacking and packing services, itinerary and transport planning, as well as private in-suite dining.

Guests also have access to a private bar replenished according to their preferences, and a welcome bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013.

The Owner’s Residence on the Explora 1 is more like a penthouse than a cabin.

The Owner’s Residence on board Explora I has a maximum capacity of three adults or two adults and one child under 18 years old.

The Explora I’s maiden journey departs on July 17 from Southampton, UK for a 15-night sailing into Norwegian fjords and the Arctic Circle to Copenhagen, Denmark.

So how much you ask?

An upcoming availability is to book for September 2 this year for a 7 nights / 8 days Scottish Highlands and Icelandic Geysers cruise.

With your wife alongside you it’s a mere $92,800 and I am sorry to say they don’t give discounts.

I’ll just go back to deciding between an ocean view cabin with or without a balcony.
