Good value and great food sum up the menu on the Walloon Hotel menu. Add to that the relaxed country atmosphere and you have the perfect recipe for a very enjoyable, affordable dining experience.

Hotel manager Stewart Gibson acknowledged that everyone is feeling the pinch in the current financial climate, however, he said: “Just because living is becoming more expensive it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on dining out and fun times.”

True to his word, Stewart has created a range of delectable specials at reasonable cost to bring you to the Hotel’s dining tables.

Between Monday and Thursday, the Walloon Hotel has the weekly menu sorted, Currently, you can drop in on these week days and find a delicious array of tasty meals, guaranteed to delight your taste buds and align with your budget.

For instance, the menu offers a choice of:

  • Monday – $10 roast pork night (roast pork, vegetables, crackling, gravy)
  • Tues – Mexican night ($12 entree and $18 mains plus decorations and dress up props)
  • Wed – $16 black Angus rump (250g rump, chips, salad and sauce. Lunch & Dinner)
  • Thurs – $16.95 Parmys (Lunch & Dinner)

The menu gets even better with $13 lunch specials available between Monday and Friday and members save $3 off full menu items.

At other times, there’s a great range of big brekkies, lunch and dinners – drop by and have a look.

HOTEL HISTORY

Walloon Saloon: The Walloon Hotel was in existence by at least 1891 when its licensee was Sarah Lawson. Walloon is a very historic township, growing up around one of the original stations on the first railway line in Queensland. A school opened in 1865 and coal mining began in the area in the 1870s
